PAS/CPP × Bradford Learning Associates
At Paranormal Action Sports / Calyx Pedal Project, supporting a rider has never been limited to what they can accomplish on a bike.
We believe action sports can build confidence, persistence, accountability, community, and the willingness to keep trying when something doesn’t come easily.
Those lessons matter far beyond BMX.
That’s why PAS/CPP is proud to collaborate with Bradford Learning Associates to bring education and guided academic support into the mentorship surrounding our riders.

this partnership started years ago
Long before Paranormal Action Sports or the Calyx Pedal Project existed, Cody Scott was one of Terrance Bradford’s GED students.
As a teenager, Cody’s traditional educational path wasn’t taking him where he needed to go.
Terrance helped provide another route.
Using GED Academy as an educational resource, along with guidance, accountability, and support, Terrance helped Cody work toward earning his GED by the time he was 18.
What began as a relationship between educator and student ultimately became something much bigger.
Years later, Cody would build Paranormal Action Sports and the Calyx Pedal Project around many of those same ideas:
Give young people opportunities.
Meet them where they are.
Expect effort.
Provide guidance.
And help them keep moving forward.
Today, Terrance continues that work through Bradford Learning Associates, including using GED Academy as a resource for students pursuing their GED.
And now the two paths have come back together.
from one generation to the next
This collaboration represents something deeply important to PAS/CPP.
The educational foundation that was once extended to a young BMX rider is now being carried forward into the BMX community for another generation.
Cody was once the student sitting on the other side of that conversation.
Today, he has an opportunity to help put young riders in contact with the same kind of educational guidance that helped create another path for him.
Student → Graduate → Mentor → Next Generation
That cycle is what makes this partnership different.
It isn’t simply two organizations working together.
It’s an opportunity being passed forward.

Anyone who has spent time learning BMX understands progression.
You try.
You fail.
You adjust.
You try again.
Eventually, something that once seemed impossible becomes something you know how to do.
Education can work the same way.
A setback doesn’t have to determine where someone finishes. Sometimes a student simply needs a different path, the right resources, and someone willing to help them navigate it.
That connects directly with one of the principles behind PAS/CPP:
BE EXCELLENT EVERY DAY.
Being excellent doesn’t mean being perfect.
It means continuing to show up.
Putting in the work.
Being accountable.
Learning from mistakes.
Supporting the people around you.
And becoming a little better than you were yesterday.
Those principles don't stop when the bike gets put away.

Through our collaboration with Bradford Learning Associates, PAS/CPP is incorporating educational support alongside the mentorship and opportunities we provide through action sports.
This includes access to GED-focused educational resources, guidance, accountability, and learning opportunities designed to help young people continue progressing toward their educational goals.
Our goal is simple:
Help build better riders — and even stronger people.

Educational sponsorship and support through PAS/CPP are currently provided through existing PAS/CPP mentorship and sponsorship relationships. This page is intended to share information about our collaboration with Bradford Learning Associates and does not represent open enrollment in a PAS/CPP sponsorship program.
